Quinoa Burgers intimidate me.
Every time I try to make them, they fall apart.
They always break in half or into pieces
right at the moment I go to flip them and then again
when I go to put them on the bun.
So I didn't have high hopes this time around...
But my husband was visiting his sister and I wanted to make something he doesn't like, but I love.
And guess what!!?
Yes!
I figured it out this time!
I cooked the burger extra long on one side,
almost burning it....
And there was minimal breakage....
...and the breakage that did occur, I was able to push back into the burger.
AND WHAT A BURGER IT WAS.
I mean the red pepper relish was amazing,
but I would have still loved the burger if I didn't have it.
I tried to cut the recipe down from 6 to 1
and almost nailed the perfect burger amount, but I was left with a little extra which I saved.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it...but the burger mixture was just too good to throw away.
